Position Summary
Pharmacy Technician prepares compounded sterile products and performs related activities under the direction of a pharmacist.
Responsibilities
Adheres to all CAPS policies and procedures.
Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.
Level II may also assist in training/mentoring new IV Technicians as assigned.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.
0‑2 years related experience.
Valid Pharmacy Technician state license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
Valid Pharmacy Technician national certification from the PTCB or NHA ExCPT.
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday with every other weekend rotating. Holidays/overtime as required.
Salary: $20.23 – $26.50 per hour.
