Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and executing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines for the facility
Understand the PT board’s rules and regulations and comply within the respective state
Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care
Understand adaptive equipment
Evaluate and create a plan of care
Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient’s condition
Use Medical Center computer systems in performing daily tasks
Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines
Requirements
Must have 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS certification and state-specific licensing. PTs must also have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, and be able to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods.
BLS certification
At least 1 year of experience (6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates)
State licensing
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Compensation
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. TotalMed Allied Job ID #1399995.
