Responsibilities
Conduct physical therapy assessments in our facility and occasionally at participants’ homes to define care needs, preferences, and goals
Participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans
Deliver and document interventions as agreed upon in participant care plans
Provide active and passive exercise, muscle re‑education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and modalities such as massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity
Supervise Therapy Assistants, providing training, instruction, and guidance for Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)
Train staff, participants, and caregivers/families on the use and care of therapeutic equipment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy; master’s or doctoral degree preferred
Two (2) years in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population preferred
Valid California Physical Therapy License, or proof of license eligibility
Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain thereafter; certification upon hire preferred
Compensation
Compensation consists of a base salary plus bonus.
