Job Responsibilities
The Home Training Registered Nurse evaluates, trains, and provides support to the dialysis facility’s home patients, care partners, and families. This position exercises knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. The candidate must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assume responsibility for caring for dialysis patients.
Qualifications
Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure.
At least twelve (12) months of nursing experience.
Previous dialysis experience required.
Meeting all applicable state/licensing requirements.
Additional three (3) months of experience in the specific modality unless otherwise specified in specific state regulations.
Documented training and experience in peritoneal dialysis and/or home hemodialysis and maintenance of dialysis access.
Basic training certificates if less than one (1) year in this modality.
Previous supervisory and teaching experience preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to speak effectively with clients and fellow employees.
Salary Range
$40 - $52 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
