Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School – (SLP - School)
Start Date: 8/3/2026
Available Shifts: 7 D
Pay Rate: $1638.00 - $1687.00
AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in Bradenton, Florida to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist for a contract position. The SLP will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students’ academic and social development.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs
Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings throughout the school year
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment
Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School References (1 reference required)
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or related field
State license required to start the assignment
Speech Therapist Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
Previous experience working in a school setting, early childhood, or pediatrics
Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
