Engineering Technician – Nights
Responsibilities:
The Engineering Technician is responsible for device assembly and packaging equipment performance, providing first‑line technical engineering level support to production processes, as well as supporting area engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation within the Concord Device Assembly and Packaging (DAP) area. This position requires expertise in production processes, complex equipment troubleshooting, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities, and mechanical and automated equipment technologies. The Engineering Technician ensures that equipment is maintained in a qualified state, can be operated safely, and that maintenance activities are appropriately planned and executed in coordination with cross‑functional alignment.
Key Objectives and Deliverables
Assure that operational, automation and maintenance activities, procedures and practices reflect safety culture and operational excellence.
Provide technical support to maintenance and automation technicians by investigating and resolving issues during production and operation of the equipment.
Perform activities in accordance with cGMPs, site procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve quality and reliability using equipment performance data to make technically sound decisions.
Effectively communicate with all levels to ensure work activities, escalations, and issues are communicated and coordinated with minimal disruption to operations.
Work with the process team, including engineers, maintenance, automation, quality, and operations personnel, to support equipment design, procedures, and engineering studies.
Seek out and identify opportunities to improve equipment operational effectiveness and reliability.
Provide technical support to engineering by investigating, documenting and resolving issues that require further investigation or support.
Transfer knowledge of equipment capabilities and operational techniques to operators, technicians, and engineering.
Support implementation of tools and processes that enable operations and engineering to work more proficiently.
Participate in periodic reviews of equipment state and qualified condition.
Plan and execute small projects for process or equipment improvements or changes.
Support contractor and vendor coordination activities as required.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Associate degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent technical experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting manufacturing, packaging, or device assembly equipment.

Additional Skills and Preferences
Demonstrated ability to work safely in a participative manufacturing environment.
Experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and/or automation troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, logical problem solving, and technical right‑first‑time execution.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, including technical documentation.
Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑service mindset.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and supporting all HSE corporate and site goals.
Experience supporting highly automated device assembly or packaging equipment preferred.
Knowledge of parenteral, device assembly, or packaging manufacturing operations preferred.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo) preferred.
Compensation
Salary range: $33.89 - $54.47 per hour. Full‑time employees may also be eligible for a company bonus based on company and individual performance.
