Assignment Description: American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of ED experience and current TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
Details
Evening shift, 3x12-hour schedules (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
Short-term acute care hospital with 1,567 staffed beds
Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center
Average patient ratio of 1:6
Primarily assigned to one campus, with the possibility of rotating to other campuses
Travelers are not assigned to trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units
Every other weekend required
Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
No on-call requirements
Charting performed in Epic
Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month
Requirements
Active CT or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
Minimum 1.5 years of ED experience from a comparable hospital setting; 2 years preferred
ED experience in a large trauma center setting required
Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted
Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
RTO requests of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval; block scheduling is not available
Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
COVID vaccine exemptions are available for religious or medical reasons only
Royal blue scrubs required
Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
