Overview

We are hiring an installer for burglar & fire alarms, surveillance camera systems, access control, audio/video wiring and equipment. This position requires the candidate to have a valid CT electrical license: C5, C6, L5, L6. If you have relevant industry experience and are currently enrolled in an apprenticeship, we would encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

Install low voltage cabling and cabling assemblies (i.e., metallic & non-metallic conduit and raceways) according to the National Electrical Code in both residential and commercial settings.
Install and program new alarm and security/fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and A/V equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and testing of systems.
Monitor inventory of service parts and keep the vehicle stocked properly.
Perform all duties in a neat and workmanlike manner.
Train customers how to use their new systems.
Adhere to safety regulations.
Be courteous, respectful, and patient with customers and employees.
Be on time for work.
Qualifications

Have one of the following Connecticut low voltage licenses: C5, C6, L5, L6, E2, E1.
Proven experience completing security/fire alarm, access control, CCTV, installation, maintenance, or other related work from start to finish.
Proficiency in installing (bending) EMT.
Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in challenging physical environments.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience pulling cable and drilling holes (not through finished floors).
Experience working with wireless technology (WiFi and alarm RF protocols).
Clean driving record.
