Overview
Vital Care of Portland is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable part-time Home Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to provide infusion nursing services for patients in Medford and the surrounding communities. This nurse will deliver high-quality care to patients receiving infusion therapy in the home and, when needed, alternate sites of care. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, confident working independently, and committed to delivering a safe, professional, and patient-centered experience.
Responsibilities
Provide skilled nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapies in the home setting.
Perform patient assessments before, during, and after infusion therapy.
Safely administer infusion medications and monitor patients for tolerance, response, and adverse reactions.
Start and maintain peripheral IV lines (PIVs) independently and competently.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy expectations, side effects, line care, and when to seek clinical support.
Collaborate with pharmacists, prescribers, and internal team members to support the patient's plan of care.
Communicate promptly regarding changes in patient condition, scheduling needs, supply issues, or therapy concerns.
Complete accurate and timely visit documentation in the company's approved charting platform.
Maintain compliance with company policies, nursing standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Support a positive patient experience through professionalism, reliability, and compassionate care.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
Minimum of 1 year of infusion nursing, IV therapy, or other relevant clinical experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to independently start peripheral IVs.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work autonomously in the home setting.
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Current BLS certification required.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the Coos Bay service area.
Experience with biologics, IVIG, hydration, anti-infectives, or specialty infusion therapies preferred.
