Repair Technician – 2nd Shift
Job Summary: The Repair Technician provides service and repair of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic equipment in accordance with current technical data. The role requires technical knowledge, expertise in diagnostic, repair and testing techniques related to a variety of equipment.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, replace, clean, repair, and rebuild various equipment, components, and systems.
Use diagnostic and test equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade.
Apply principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory.
Interpret and follow technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and industry standards.
Make computer entries and complete paperwork maintenance documents per FAA Regulations and company policies.
Follow industry/government safety, health, and environmental practices.
Assist in research and development of new repair capabilities.
Assist in maintenance of shop equipment and supplies.
Maintain an organized workstation and shop floor in accordance with 5S standards.
Qualifications
High School diploma (Level 2 education).
3–5 years of experience in aviation maintenance.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent electro‑mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Diplomatic stress management and clear communication skills in English.
Good knowledge of common hand tools and precision measuring equipment (micrometers, depth gauges, flow meters, pressure gauges).
Proficiency with electrical measuring instruments (multimeters, temperature gauges).
Safe operation of electrical equipment in accordance with company policies.
Crimping and soldering skills.
Ability to read and interpret component maintenance manuals and drawings.
Preferred: 2‑year technical degree and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation
Expected salary range: $20.94 – $32.90 per hour (USD). Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
Working Conditions
Fluent communication in English is required.
Employment may be part‑time, full‑time, or temporary.
Travel may be required.
Protracted or irregular hours may be required.
Relocation to another Safran facility may be required.
