SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER for TARGETED SERVICES ELEMENTARY SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM

2 positions available.
Dates & Summer Hours

Wednesday, June 10 – setup day, 7.5 hours.
Monday – Thursday, June 15–18 and June 22–25.
Hours: 8:45 am – 12:45 pm (exact hours may vary by site). This includes 4.0 hours per day, plus up to 7.5 hours for setup and training. Total 39.50 hours.
Sites

Itinerant between two of four Targeted Services Sites: Andover Elementary, Oxbow Creek Elementary, Sand Creek Elementary, Wilson Elementary.
Duties

Support the needs of students and families experiencing homelessness at each site. Collaborate with targeted services summer school staff to support student engagement and reduce barriers to academic success. Spend two days per week at each of two designated Targeted Service school sites.
Minimum Qualifications

Current MN School Social Worker License.
Knowledge of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
Experience working directly with students and families who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Must be physically present in the building on site.
Rate of Pay

All Summer School Teachers receive the hourly rate of $39.04 in accordance with the working agreement as stated in Article X, Section 6.
