Art Therapist

Responsibilities
Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 145‑bed pediatric hospital and a 50‑bed general hospital located in Savannah, GA. The Art Therapist will work with patients of varied physical abilities, mental illness diagnoses, and substance abuse issues. The role involves assisting patients in expressing their emotions through artwork, analyzing creations, developing solutions to personal challenges, and teaching coping skills to manage stress, challenges, or trauma.
Individualized documentation is required for each patient seen immediately after each 1‑hour session.
Qualifications
Education/Licensure : The individual must hold a current Art Therapist credential.
Experience : One (1) year of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness is preferred.
Additional Requirements : CPR and CPI training as outlined in New Hire Policy must be completed before providing direct care services.
