Responsibilities
Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 145‑bed hospital for children and adolescents, as well as a 50‑bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. We provide compassionate patient care to local and national patients in beautiful, historic Savannah, GA, offering a quiet setting that preserves privacy and allows patients to focus on treatment.
The Yoga Therapist (Instructor) will work with patients having a range of physical abilities, mental illness diagnoses, and substance abuse issues. They combine physical techniques, such as stretching and strengthening yoga postures, with mental training—including breath work and somatic awareness—to aid in each patient’s personal recovery process. Individualized documentation of each 1‑hour session is required immediately after completion.
Qualifications
Hold a current Yoga Therapist or Yoga Instructor credential.
Preferred: additional licensure in an HTH‑recognized clinical profession (LPC, LMSW, LCSW, CTRS, MT‑BC, or Licensed Teacher).
One year of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient‑care techniques and an understanding of mental illness.
