As a Public Relations Senior Specialist, you will elevate Baker Hughes' brand reputation, strengthen executive visibility, and drive strategic communications across global markets. You will develop integrated PR strategies, manage multichannel programs, and craft narratives that position Baker Hughes as a leader in energy technology and innovation.

You will collaborate with product marketing, content, demand generation, and enterprise leaders to align PR with broader marketing priorities and business objectives. Your work will shape how customers, media, partners, and stakeholders perceive Baker Hughes and its impact on the energy transition and industrial innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive PR strategies and communication plans aligned with enterprise priorities
  • Coordinate and manage multiple communication projects, campaigns, and events from inception to completion
  • Implement PR plans for enterprise products, services, and major corporate milestones
  • Partner with enterprise leaders to build executive visibility through bylines, speaking engagements, and interviews
  • Manage external PR agencies and mentor internal team members to ensure high-quality execution
  • Collaborate with product marketing, content, and demand generation teams to align PR with broader marketing initiatives
  • Craft compelling stories, press releases, pitches, and content that translate complex technology into business-relevant messaging

Public Relations Senior Specialist, responsibilities

Key Areas

  • Public Relations Strategy & Planning
    • Develop integrated PR strategies identifying target audiences, key messages, and channels
    • Build proactive media engagement to elevate leadership and innovation narrative
    • Align PR plans with enterprise marketing priorities, product launches, and milestones
  • Campaign & Program Execution
    • Manage end-to-end PR campaigns and media programs
    • Coordinate cross-functional inputs for timely, high-quality assets and content
    • Support global and regional PR activation with consistency across markets
  • Executive Visibility & Thought Leadership
    • Develop personal brands through bylined articles, keynote opportunities, and interviews
    • Create thought leadership content positioning executives as credible voices in energy, technology, and sustainability
  • Media Relations & Storytelling
    • Craft press releases, pitches, statements, and storytelling assets
    • Translate complex technologies into clear, business-relevant narratives
    • Pitch and secure coverage in tier-one, trade, and industry media
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with product marketing, content, demand generation, and brand teams to align PR with broader marketing
    • Partner with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders for accuracy and approvals
    • Manage external PR agencies to ensure quality and performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • 8–10 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or agency environments
  • Strong ability to build stakeholder relationships and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience developing key messages aligned with brand and strategic priorities
  • Proven track record of pitching and placing stories in tier-one and trade media, including paid and sponsored campaigns
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
