Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. (Required by client.)
- Active Missouri state license or Compact privilege to practice in MO. (MO State License required by client.)
- Minimum 1 year of SLP clinical experience. New graduates may be considered if they have Level II experience rather than only Level I observation. (Client requirement.)
- Experience in long term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings. (Client requirement.)
- Ability to screen, evaluate, and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions.
- Experience documenting regulatory- and clinically-required information in electronic medical records and accurately recording treatment minutes.
- Ability to provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members and to participate in required meetings including patient care conferences and utilization reviews.
- Able to supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Three years of active Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCS) is preferred but not required.
- One professional reference required at time of submission. (Client requirement.)
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift Pattern: Monday through Friday, five 8-hour days. Start times are flexible but must be consistent and communicated with Director of Rehab. Therapist start time must be before 6:00 AM or no later than 10:00 AM.
- Weekend Requirement: No routine weekends. If a holiday falls within MondayFriday, hours may be made up on a weekend.
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks.
- Floating: Candidate may be required to float to other facility locations as needed.
