Torque Manufacturing Company in Kettering, Ohio Seeking Production Technicians!
A growing torque manufacturing facility in Kettering, OH is hiring Production Technicians for a steady 1st shift schedule (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM). Enjoy a 4-day workweek with occasional overtime opportunities!
Pay & Perks Starting at $17.50+ per hour (based on experience) - $1.00/hour increase upon hire-on - $500 holiday bonus (up to $1,000 with perfect attendance) - $20 weekly attendance bonus - $80$100 boot allowance upon hire-on - 80 hours PTO available within first year - Contract-to-hire after 520 hours
This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a facility that rebuilds and produces torque-related components. This is not a push-button job; you'll be actively operating equipment, using tools, and working with mechanical parts.
Key Responsibilities - Assemble, disassemble, and prepare products for testing and inspection - Operate manual machines, including lathes and other equipment - Use hand and power tools to install components - Inspect parts for quality and defects before moving them forward - Follow work instructions, specifications, and safety guidelines - Handle materials and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Additional Responsibilities May Include (Depending on department placement): - Machine operation, polishing, grinding, and quality checks - Welding (MIG/TIG), assembly line work, painting, and packaging - Mechanical assembly, repair, and refurbishment of components - Battery testing and diagnostics (for specialized departments) - Use of measuring tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment
What We're Looking For - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally more with assistance) - Steel-toe boots required to be worn
Preferred (but not required): - Manufacturing, mechanical, or automotive experience - High school diploma or GED
Work Environment - Industrial/production setting (metal environment - expect to get dirty)
