
Lead Material Handler- 2nd Shift

Warehouse Manager
Perform, monitor, and assign work duties to warehouse personnel, prioritized and established by the Area Manager, to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Drive a culture of safety, be self-motivated, with good organizational and team-building skills, and achieve high level results by embracing continuous improvement methodologies.
Essential Job Functions:
Communicates with manager to determine priorities, observes work-in-progress, and advises manager of issues
Serves as a resource to team members
answers question and resolves operating problems
Demonstrates "role model" work habits and fosters teamwork within the department
Enhances team morale
discusses issues and suggestions with manager and follows up with team members
Conducts on-the-job training and provides constructive feedback to employees
Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
Transfers finished products to designated areas
Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
Continually seeks opportunities to improve department operations
Encourages team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Operates a manual pallet jack, powered pallet jack, forklift, and order picker. Performs safety checks prior to use. Reports machine problems to manager. Charges industrial truck batteries as needed.

Education & Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Competencies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
Forklift Certification required.
Related experience is highly preferred.
Good attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work from verbal and written instruction
Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
Able to work accurately with numbers and use a calculator
Able to lift 70 lbs. continuously

Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack, Powered Industrial Equipment
