Landscape Material Loader
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual for the seasonal position of Landscape Material Loader. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and safely load customer and company vehicles with various landscaping materials using a skid steer loader. This position is vital to our operations and requires experience in operating a skid steer, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Skid Steer Loader: Safely and proficiently operate a skid steer to load bulk materials (mulch, gravel, soil, stone, etc.) into customer and company trucks and trailers.
Material Management: Assist with the organization and inventory of materials in the yard, ensuring materials are accessible and properly stored.
Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, confirming material orders and ensuring accurate loading.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre- and post-operation checks on the skid steer and other equipment. Report any maintenance issues promptly to management.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, especially those related to heavy equipment operation and yard safety.
General Yard Duties: Assist with other yard tasks as needed, including sweeping, cleaning, and organizing the facility.
Requirements
Skid Steer Experience: Proven experience operating a skid steer loader is required.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Schedule Flexibility: Must be available to work weekends and seasonal hours.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
Safety Focus: A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for customers and colleagues.
