Direct Hire) in Farmington, CT!
If you enjoy precision machining and working with advanced manufacturing technology, this opportunity places you at the center of high-accuracy tooling production. You'll set up and operate CNC equipment used to manufacture punches, dies, and other tooling components while supporting production runs where programs, fixtures, and machining methods are continuously being refined.
What You'll Do
Set up and operate CNC machine tools including turning, milling, grinding, and EDM equipment
Interpret routings, work instructions, and blueprints to complete production orders
Create or edit CNC programs including speeds and feeds for tooling production
Perform initial production runs where programming, fixtures, and machining methods are being developed
Troubleshoot machining or process issues and adjust programs or setups as needed
Use precision measurement tools to verify quality and maintain tight tolerances
Support improvements to tooling production processes and machining methods
Perform routine 5S workplace organization and operator maintenance tasks
Follow all safety procedures and complete required safety training
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of material removal processes including turning, milling, grinding, or EDM
Ability to read blueprints and technical production documentation
Experience editing CNC programs and adjusting machining parameters
Proficiency using precision measurement tools and maintaining quality standards
Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
High School Diploma or equivalent

Training/Overlap on 1st Shift: MondayFriday | 7:00 AM
3:30 PM
Permanent Schedule: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM
12:00 AM
$26.16$43.22/hr DOE + 15% Shift Differential (after training)
