Location: Durham, NC - Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite
Type: FTE, Direct Hire
Base Salary Range: $110-140k

Our leading Insurance client is investing heavily in modern systems that drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, with a focus on optimizing their policy administration platform.

They're seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to play a key role in bridging business needs and technical solutions, owning requirements, improving system functionality, and ensuring their PAS runs seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, define, and document system requirements
Translate complex business needs into clear user stories and functional specifications
Support and enhance policy administration and related systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and modernization
Collaborate with developers, QA, and vendors to deliver system changes and new product functionality
Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution
Analyze data flows and system integrations to ensure accuracy and performance
Contribute to product launches by validating system readiness and coordinating across teams
Create and maintain documentation including process flows, SOPs, and system updates
Support testing efforts and assist end users with system functionality and enhancements
Act as a key point of contact for system-related questions, changes, and ongoing support
Skilled Needed:

6+ years of experience in business systems analysis, data analysis, or a related IT function Demonstrated subject matter
Expertise in defining, analyzing, and validating processes within Policy Administration Systems
Prior experience working with insurance platforms; annuity product knowledge strongly preferred (FAST, OIPA, ALIP, DXC Assure, Vitech, Guidewire etc)
Solid understanding of system components, data structures, and application integrations (e.g., APIs, web services)
Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Experience supporting enterprise applications, including issue analysis and resolution in production environments
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, especially in ambiguous or fast-moving situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations effectively
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
