Opportunity Overview:
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly on new Surface devices, contributing to the validation and testing of software on proprietary hardware. You'll be part of a team responsible for ensuring device readiness, quality, and performance prior to release. The hands-on nature of this role-flashing builds, testing new features, and validating system behavior-makes it ideal for candidates looking to deepen their experience in device-level QA and firmware validation within a highly innovative environment.

• Execute software validation and testing on new Surface devices
• Flash LKG images and test new firmware/software builds
• Identify, debug, and resolve Windows device usability issues
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure product quality

• Support creation of test data, migration packages, and validation processes

The expertise you bring:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in software testing, validation, or firmware engineering
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Experience troubleshooting and unit testing across new and legacy systems
• Familiarity with programming and debugging techniques
• Ability to analyze system behavior and resolve technical issues effectively

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:
Candidates who excel in this role bring a strong curiosity for how devices function at a system level, combined with hands-on testing and validation experience.
