
Inventory Control Associate

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and quality compliance across all warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in verifying product accuracy across inbound and outbound processes, conducting cycle counts, and identifying and investigating inventory discrepancies. The Inventory Control Specialist partners closely with warehouse teams to uphold operational standards, determine root causes of variances, and support continuous improvement efforts to maintain strong inventory integrity.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform quality control checks on all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory processes.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with warehouse operations teams to resolve inventory issues and improve processes.
• Ensure proper product handling, labeling, and storage to maintain inventory integrity.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies.
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation processes.
• Experience supporting or working with FTL, LTL, and parcel pick and pack operations.
• Familiarity with WMS systems; NetSuite preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Working knowledge of compliance standards within a warehouse environment and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and compliance standards in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily operational deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with warehouse teams and leadership.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or coursework in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen, if applicable.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment (approximately 80%) with occasional office work (20%).
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods throughout the shift.
• 3+ Years of forklift experience
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, with working hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
