
Production Tunnel Operator Position--6 AM to 2:30 PM. M-F

Production Tunnel Operator
Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Prepares their work station.
Transfers hangers from the hanger rack to the shirt or pant hanging aid.
For shirts, flip the hanger up onto the hanger aid, remove the shirt from the tub or table and dress the shirt on the hanger, pulling sleeves out (if needed).
For pants, remove the pants from the tub or table, grasp the zipper end while stretching the waistband with the other hand, apply one brisk shake to allow the pant crease to fall in place, lay the pants over the hanger aid, advance the hanger up to the slotted area, and remove the pants from the hanging aid.
Identifies any merchandise repairs not meeting specified quality standards in terms of tears, holes, stains, ink spots, torn/worn labels/emblems, or missing buttons with the application of a twist tie to the hanger of the item that needs repair.
Ensures that the garment is placed on an open conveyor pick.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in all production activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
Working knowledge of basic math skills.
Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
Working Environment / Safety Requirements
Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise.
Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends.
Overtime required as needed.
Physical Requirements
