Miscellaneous Labor 2nd Shift
Position Overview The primary duties of the Miscellaneous Labor position include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, learning to operate a variety of production equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work-space. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, be able to be in a fast-paced, noisy environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery. The position requires the ability to work on any shift, overtime as needed, and on weekends.
Responsibilities
Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment, including flexo-folder/gluers, corrugators, and intricate die-cut machines
Follow specific directions and operate powered hand tools
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner (safety-sensitive position)
Read a tape measure to one-sixteenth of an inch
Use basic math and computer skills
Work safely and comply with all safety policies and regulations
Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Navigate stairs and ladders, and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift
Qualifications
High school or technical diploma or equivalent preferred
Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Must pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical
Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
