The Mail Specialist I processes mail for a centralized accounting processing center. This is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive and open incoming mail
Sort incoming mail by specified criteria
Distribute incoming mail by utilizing central department mailbox system
Receive and process outgoing mail utilizing mail equipment
Maintain mailing equipment
Maintain inventory of mailing products
Meet deadlines established by senior staff on the processing of incoming and outgoing mail
Provide specific returned mail to designated departments for further research
Occasional overtime may be required
Occasional work on the weekend may be required
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail
Experience in customer service
Computer and internet proficient
Education:
High school diploma or GED
0-2-year experience working in a mail department and/or fast paced mail processing department or center
