Assembler

Candidates will be working in two distinct areas: assembly or the mulling department. In the assembly department, they will be responsible for installing components and weather stripping into windows, ensuring tight seals using small hand tools. This role involves standing for the entire 10-hour shift in an assembly line setup where each worker depends on the other. In the mulling department, candidates will construct wooden frames around windows for direct installation into homes, utilizing power tools and nail guns. Although candidates will still stand for the 10-hour shift, they will work independently in this area.
Responsibilities
Install components and weather stripping into windows.
Ensure seals are tight using small hand tools.
Construct wooden frames around windows using power tools and nail guns.
Work independently and collaboratively as needed.
Maintain productivity in a fast-paced assembly line environment.
Essential Skills
6+ months of assembly, construction, landscaping, packaging, or general labor experience.
6+ months of hand tools experience.
6+ months of construction, carpentry, or industrial assembly experience.
6+ months of power tools experience.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with general production and packaging.
Familiarity with construction and power tools.
Proficiency in using hand tools and nail guns.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime on Fridays. Closed-toed tennis shoes or work boots are required, while steel-toed boots are not mandatory. Dress code includes jeans and prohibits shorts and cut-off shirts. Safety glasses are provided and required, whereas ear protection is provided but not mandatory. The workspace can be warm during summer months, and candidates will be standing for 10-hour shifts. Employees receive two paid 15-minute breaks and an unpaid 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayfield, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
