General Production Worker
The General Production Worker supports day-to-day manufacturing operations by palletizing and shrink-wrapping products, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, and handling materials throughout the production area. This role involves moving and weighing product, accurately recording digital weight measurements, and performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced food production environment while following strict safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Responsibilities
Palletize finished product and securely shrink-wrap pallets for safe storage and transport.
Clean and sanitize workstations and surrounding areas to maintain a safe and hygienic production environment.
Move product and materials using a manual pallet jack throughout the production and warehouse areas.
Weigh product on a small digital scale and accurately read, record, and document weight data.
Handle and move filled bags that can weigh up to 50 lbs in accordance with company safety policies.
Work with a partner to move any items over 50 lbs, following established team-lift procedures.
Push and pull large bowls on wheels weighing up to 1,000 lbs and successfully move at least eight bowls per shift.
Perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks while standing for extended periods during 812 hour shifts.
Follow all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including hygiene and contamination-prevention procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support smooth production flow.
Participate in on-site orientation and follow all training and operational instructions provided by supervisors.
Essential Skills
Recent experience working in a general labor, construction, manufacturing, or similar general labor environment within the last 5 years.
At least 1 year of continuous employment with the same company within the last 5 years.
Ability to stand and work on your feet for 812 hour shifts.
Capability to lift and move bags weighing up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.
Physical strength and stamina to push and pull wheeled bowls weighing up to 1,000 lbs multiple times per shift.
Comfort working in a physically demanding, fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
Ability to accurately read and record digital weight measurements.
Strong adherence to safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in food production, food manufacturing, or packaging environments.
Background in production line work, assembly, machine operation, or general production.
Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes and material handling tools such as manual pallet jacks.
Attention to detail when recording weights and completing production-related documentation.
Reliability and consistency in attendance to support rotating night shift operations.

The dress code includes steel-toed boots, hair net, eye protection, jeans, shirt, bump cap, and lab coat. Employees must follow strict hygiene and contamination-control rules, including no smoking or tobacco products on-site, no perfume or cologne, no fingernail polish, no jewelry of any kind, and no piercings. Clothing must be free of rips, tears, holes, or added embellishments. Temperatures can be hot in the summer, with some manufacturing rooms reaching up to 90 degrees, while conditions are comfortable in the winter. The position operates on a rotating night shift from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, and so on). New hires complete a 34 hour on-site orientation, and depending on the shift schedule, may begin work immediately after orientation or on a subsequent scheduled shift.
