Document Support Specialist
Location: Los Angeles, CA Schedule: Hybrid (2 days on-site / 3 days remote after introductory period) Employment Type: Full-time, non-exempt Salary Range: $90,000$105,000 (DOE)
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Document Support Specialist to join its Los Angeles office. This role supports attorneys and legal staff by producing high-quality documents in a fast-paced, client-serviceoriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, format, revise, and finalize a high volume of legal documents including pleadings, briefs, contracts, reports, and other work product
Convert, clean, and standardize documents from outside sources to ensure consistent formatting
Manage document revisions, version control, and tracked changes with a high level of accuracy
Create and update Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities, including complex pagination and styles
Create, edit, and compile production-ready PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Pro
Prepare and edit PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets for internal and client-facing use
Ensure documents comply with firm standards, branding guidelines, and applicable court rules
Transcribe and process digital dictation while maintaining confidentiality
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to meet deadlinesoften under time-sensitive conditions
Maintain organized electronic files and support document management practices
Provide guidance and training on document formatting, templates, and best practices
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
57 years of experience in legal document production or a similar law firm environment
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; ability to quickly learn new software
Experience with CCC Macro Pro and PowerPoint design is a plus
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed
