Description
Essential functions and duties include fermenter and brite cleaning and sanitation, CIP plate heat exchanger cleaning and sanitation, lab analysis including ATP testing, yeast cell counts, yeast viability, chemical titrations, yeast management for ale, lager, and seasonal strains, communicating status of process/projects to appropriate personnel, performing filtrations, ensuring proper carbonation levels for packaging, participating in relevant project work, participating in relevant process improvements, harvesting and pitching yeast through the yeast propagation plant, general cleaning of cellar (tank exteriors, floors, etc.), proactive involvement in other related duties in the cellar as assigned, setting up and performing transfers of beer from cellar to tanker trucks, and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in science related field or a recognized brewing technical certification is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience is acceptable as well.
Work Experience: Two years of work experience in brewing industry.
Required Qualifications: Ability to operate in a team environment, ability to manage multiple tasks, experienced with Excel and Word, willingness to work flexible and extended hours, ability to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications: Tow motor certification.
