Inventory Control Specialist
Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and warehousing industry, is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join their team. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting warehouse management and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Location: Jessup, MD
Pay Range: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 PM
What's the Job?
Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory counts through cycle counting and other assigned duties.
Conduct regular warehouse cycle counts, addressing discrepancies and product integrity issues.
Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items in collaboration with Merchandising.
Investigate causes of weight variances, receiving issues, and damaged products resulting from warehouse moves.
Monitor FIFO items to ensure proper rotation and verify reserve counts for accuracy.
What's Needed?
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 2 years of inventory control experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry skills required.
Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Strong problem-solving skills and basic math competency.
