Job Description Labor & Employment Associate Attorney Labor & Employment Associate Attorney (Wage & Hour / Class Action Litigation)Position OverviewWe are seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will handle a mix of counseling and contested matters for clients across industries, with an emphasis on employment litigation, wage-and-hour disputes, and class/collective actions. This role requires strong litigation experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the analytical ability to manage complex legal issues from intake through resolution or trial.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct factual and legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and settlement documents in labor and employment

case development and discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, organizing document productions, and preparing for and taking or defending depositions.Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings; prepare hearing and trial materials and support

wage-and-hour disputes, class and collective action matters, and individual employment claims under statutes such as FLSA, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and state labor laws.Counsel clients on employment law compliance, risk mitigation, internal investigations, employee discipline, and policy drafting.Work collaboratively with partners, other attorneys, and support staff to meet client objectives and case deadlines while maintaining high-quality client service.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties, including delivering clear legal advice, status updates, and settlement

up-to-date knowledge of developments in labor and employment law and contribute to training, client alerts, and business development initiatives. QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the WSBA.3+ years of experience in labor and employment law with a focus on litigation; experience with class actions and wage-and-hour disputes strongly preferred.Proven litigation experience, including drafting motions, managing discovery, and courtroom advocacy.Excellent verbal communication and client-facing skills, with comfort conducting depositions and negotiating settlements.Superior written communication skills demonstrated through briefs, memos, and client correspondence.Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex facts and law into persuasive arguments and practical advice.Familiarity with federal and state employment statutes and regulations (e.g., FLSA, Title VII, ADA, FMLA) and experience using legal research tools such as Westlaw or Lexis.Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethical legal practice.
