Shift starts can vary between: 1:00pm- 6:00pm and goes through 10:00pm- 3:00am As a Dock Worker at RXO, you'll coordinate in the movement/parking of trucks and assist with directing the trucks. Your attention to the small details and strong work ethic will ensure our operations continue to run smoothly. What your day-to-day will look like:
Direct movement, position, and parking of trucks throughout the property
Perform equipment inspections for both outbound and inbound equipment
Complete and review equipment inventories and report discrepancies
Conduct random inspections of container yard perimeter fence
Verify steamship bookings and equipment release per IAW established procedures
Perform safety checks as required by management and report tractor safety-related deficiencies
Assist with and monitor vendor performance on the container yard
Operate as hostler in all types of weather; safely walk and stand for extended periods of time
What you'll need to excel:
At a minimum, you'll need:
The ability to maintain a valid driver's license
Good communications skills with the ability to work well under pressure
It'd be great if you also have:
2 years of relevant experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Driving and/or maintenance experience
