Dock Worker
The Dockworker primarily works in the outside dock area of the AmeriGas facility. The employee is responsible for unloading empty propane cylinders from the truck(s), carrying them inside the dock area to the refill station, and refilling the cylinders. The filled cylinders are then moved back to the dock and reloaded onto the truck(s) for the next day’s delivery. Other duties may include cylinder repair and maintenance, providing customer training on dispensing propane, and handling refills for walk-in customers.
Responsibilities
Unload empty propane cylinders from trucks.
Carry cylinders to refill station and refill them.
Move filled cylinders back to dock and reload onto trucks.
Perform cylinder repair and maintenance tasks.
Provide customer training on dispensing propane.
Handle refills for walk-in customers.
Qualifications
Ability to climb steps/ladders, walk 1–5 miles, and carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 75 lbs each.
Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and climbing in and out of trucks.
1–2 years of manufacturing work experience is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Pay
The pay for this position ranges from $19.00 to $19.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, prior job experience, and market data.
