Assembly Technician
The Assembly Technician assembles and integrates drone systems and subsystems with a strong focus on quality, precision, and reliability. This role involves technical assembly, soldering of sub-assemblies, and interpreting blueprints and schematics to build and verify complex electro-mechanical products.
Responsibilities
Assemble and integrate drone systems and subsystems according to engineering specifications and production requirements.
Perform soldering on sub-assembly products to create reliable electrical connections.
Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to guide assembly and wiring tasks.
Use hand tools and power tools to complete mechanical and electrical assembly work.
Wire components and harnesses accurately based on schematic diagrams and work instructions.
Conduct quality control checks on parts, sub-assemblies, and finished assemblies to ensure they meet standards.
Handle and assemble technical and mechanical components with a high degree of manual dexterity.
Follow established production processes and document work as required.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly or integration issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines in a warehouse environment.
Essential Skills
Proven soldering experience, supported by either formal certification or hands-on experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or technical assembly environment.
Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
Basic electrical knowledge, including wiring and component identification.
Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed assembly and soldering work.
Ability to perform quality control inspections on parts and assemblies.
Experience working with technical assemblies, such as drone systems, electrical devices, or similar products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with integration of electro-mechanical systems, such as drones or comparable equipment.
Experience in technical assembly for medical devices or other high-precision products.
Familiarity with production environments and standard operating procedures.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to assembly and inspection.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to evolving processes.

This role is based in a startup company warehouse environment focused on building and integrating drone systems. You will work on-site using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment to assemble electro-mechanical components. The setting is fast-paced and collaborative, with close coordination among technical staff on the production floor. Dress code is practical and safety-oriented, suitable for a hands-on assembly and warehouse environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
