Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Coach safety, quality, and productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
Coach hourly employees to ensure the delivery of the right materials, at the right time, in the right quantities, in the right place to the production lines
Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
Assure startup & close-out verification/confirmation tasks are completed
Conduct daily confirmations and confirm concerns are readily addressed and requirements are met
Perform standardized work including periodic job observations, deep knowledge, and timely resolution of abnormalities at the lowest level, to achieve objectives
Confirm work areas adhere to workplace organization, and workstations are free of debris and contamination
Ensure EOS standards are adhered to and identify additional opportunities
Coach and support team leaders to achieve objectives through standardized work
Coach, teach, and feedback on resolution of abnormalities and confirm closure of concerns
Support the work groups/teams to ensure they have appropriate materials and supplies to maintain flow
Adhere to time & data management to promote, support, and coach a continuous improvement mindset and activities in the team
Respect and encourage respect of all team members by my actions
Create a zero tolerance environment and reaffirm team members respect each other
Own working together, modeling the Ford values and expected behaviors
Ensure work group members are appropriately recognized for the accomplishments
Qualifications
You'll have...
High school diploma or GED
At least 5 years of manufacturing plant supervisory experience
At least 3 years of material handling supervisory experience
Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
Ability to work overtime as needed by the business
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Capable of assigning work to hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Even better you'll have...
Bachelor's degree
High volume production experience preferred
Safety and quality experience preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Knowledge of constraint management principles
Microsoft office knowledge (word/excel/outlook)
Prior experience managing a diverse workforce
Maintenance experience
