Accounting Clerk II

We are hiring an Accounting Clerk II to perform skilled financial support work in accordance with City policies and procedures. This role maintains financial records, posts transactions, audits invoices, and prepares reports to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
This position is located in the Parks Department at 700 City Hall and works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Here's what you can expect to do:
Review and enter accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely processing
Manage accounts receivable processes, including cash batching, payment analysis, reporting, and customer refunds
Oversee travel card approvals and reconciliation, ensuring accurate coding of transactions
Assist with cash receipts and processing of non-receivable payments

Position Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Development certificate (GED) with two courses in basic bookkeeping, 4 credits of post-secondary accounting courses, and two years of experience as an Accounting Clerk I or equivalent.
