Rate Range: $60/per Hr-$80/per Hr
Role Summary:
We are seeking a
Security Architecture Engineer (SAE)
to support enterprise-wide security architecture, tooling integration, and risk posture across a complex technology portfolio. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, working closely with engineering, infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure security capabilities are effectively designed, implemented, and operationalized.
The SAE is not a purely theoretical architect. This role bridges
security strategy and execution , helping teams integrate security tooling, validate coverage, improve visibility, and reduce risk through scalable and automated approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Engineering
Design and evolve
security architectures
that align with enterprise standards while supporting modern platforms, applications, and infrastructure.
Act as a hands-on technical partner to engineering teams, ensuring security requirements are built into platforms and services from design through implementation.
Support the integration and optimization of security tooling across endpoint, infrastructure, application, and data layers.
Tooling, Visibility & Risk Posture
Partner with security operations and platform teams to ensure
consistent asset visibility and coverage
across the environment.
Support consolidation and correlation of security data from multiple tools (e.g., endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, application security).
Help define and validate
security posture metrics , ensuring leadership has accurate, actionable insight into risk.
Vulnerability & Platform Enablement
Collaborate with vulnerability management and application security teams to ensure vulnerabilities are identified, prioritized, and contextualized based on asset and application criticality.
Support platform teams in building and refining internal security dashboards and automation capabilities that reduce manual reporting and audit effort.
Assist with security discovery, asset inventory alignment, and data accuracy across tooling ecosystems.
Governance, Standards & Advisory
Provide architectural guidance aligned to industry standards and internal security policies.
Serve as a trusted advisor to product, infrastructure, and engineering leaders on security design decisions.
Participate in architecture reviews, design forums, and risk discussions as a security SME.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in
security engineering, security architecture, or related technical security roles
Strong understanding of:
Enterprise security architecture concepts
Infrastructure, application, and cloud security fundamentals
Vulnerability management and security tooling ecosystems
Hands-on experience working with security platforms such as:
Endpoint security tools
SIEM / logging platforms
Vulnerability scanning and application security tools
Ability to translate security requirements into
practical, implementable solutions
Strong communication skills and comfort working in highly matrixed environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large, complex enterprise environments
Familiarity with asset discovery and inventory challenges in distributed systems
Experience partnering with teams building
internal security platforms or dashboards
Background working closely with both security operations and engineering teams
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., PCI, media, entertainment, large consumer platforms)
