Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role offers flexible options for part-time or full-time schedules, with caseloads tailored according to district needs and discussed further during the interview process. The position is in a school-based, in-person setting and requires adherence to the state’s credentials and guidelines. Ideal candidates will possess:Active SLP-CCC certification with a current license to practice in Rhode IslandPrior experience working in school settings and familiarity with K–12 educational environmentsAbility to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disordersCollaborative approach when engaging with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teamsStrong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic school context Primary responsibilities include:Conducting evaluations and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a variety of communication needsProviding direct speech and language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs and school policiesCollecting and tracking student progress data, and preparing thorough reports for educational staff and families Participating in eligibility, review, and dismissal meetings to advocate for appropriate student supportsOffering resources, support, and consultation to teachers and educational staff This contract position follows the school calendar, running from late August to mid-June. Caseloads will be discussed to ensure the right fit with candidates’ preferences and skill sets.
