Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their team in California. The ideal candidate will have a background in county, government, or engineering accounting, and be familiar with utility and municipal financial operations. This position requires proficiency in the Tyler Munis system and experience managing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and contracts.
Responsibilities
Utilize the Tyler Munis system to manage financial operations.
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
Handle billing processes and manage contracts efficiently.
Apply expertise in county, government, and engineering financial practices.
Leverage experience in utilities, government, county, and municipal accounting.
Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Assist with financial audits and ensure adherence to regulations.
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in county, government, or engineering accounting.
Proficiency with the Tyler Munis system is required.
Strong understanding of utilities, government, county, and municipal financial operations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Work Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Benefits
The position offers competitive pay with a range of $35 to $50 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
