Introduction Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team treating dogs, cats, exotic, and pocket pets. This well-established general practice provides both wellness and emergency and critical veterinary care, offering an excellent opportunity to support a large and loyal clientele built over more than 70 years of trusted service to the community. Working Hours / Rota The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, closed on Saturday, and open Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian provides comprehensive, high-quality medical care within a general practice setting. Responsibilities include performing wellness and sick examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, managing acute and chronic medical cases, interpreting laboratory results and radiographs, and performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. The role includes educating clients on preventative care, discussing diagnoses and treatment options, and ensuring clear communication regarding medical recommendations and follow-up care. The Associate Veterinarian collaborates closely with technicians and support staff, maintains thorough and accurate medical records, practices evidence-based medicine, and upholds the highest standards of patient care and professionalism. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Practice Details The hospital is AAHA accredited, recognized by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, and designated as a Cat Friendly Practice. It is equipped with endoscopy, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a complete in-house laboratory. Services include emergency and critical veterinary care as well as general wellness services, advanced dental care, cold laser therapy, digital radiology, OFA X-ray, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and preventative and primary care. Team The team consists of five DVMs supported by 14 staff members, including three Licensed Veterinary Technicians and two Certified Veterinary Technicians. The hospital fosters a collaborative and supportive environment where veterinarians and technicians work closely together to deliver efficient, high-quality care across a diverse caseload.
