Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a start-up and scaling energy brokerage in the US with a wealth of experience at the helm and refreshing outlook on the physical oil markets. We are seeking an experienced Oil Cargo/Products broker to continue growing their presence within the fuels, residuals and products sector.
The firm operates from its head office in the Houston Area servicing clients globally with a strong presence within the Fuel Oil/ULSD/ LSFO/HFO space offering flexible working, entrepreneurial approach with the platform and set up to grow and expand freely with strong financial incentives.
The Role:
This role would suit someone looking to take their career to the next level with intensive support and stewardship from the experiened director. As a Physical Oil Cargo/Products broker you will be responsible for facilitating trade services across the Residuals, Fuel Oil, ULSD, HFO, LSFO or related products space.
As part of this role you will be expected to establish strong relations with Refiners, Producers, Trade Houses, Customers, Traders and Corporates to promote the company’s Services – working in partnership with the brokers within the business to continue to grow and establish the company’s presence within the physical Oil & Energy markets
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
You will work closely with the team to continue the development and strategic expansion of the LSFO, HFO, ULSD & Products desk across Physical Oil markets.
Offer Physical brokerage services whilst developing a global portfolio of clients within the Residual Fuel & Fuel/Oil sector – ensuring all compliance aspects and client onboarding procedures are adhered to.
Work hand in hand with the owner of the business on developing a personal book of business, and assisting in brokerage for the firms established and sticky client base
Requirements:
Experience Broking Physical Oil Products / Cargo’s (Diesel, ULSD, HFO, Residual Fuel, Gasoil, RBB’s, LSFO, MGO or related products)
Exceptional understanding of market flows and trends both domestic market (USGC, NY Harbour, Mid-Con) and Global markets to offer clients exceptional market data and brokerage services.
Provide accurate and pre-rounded solutions to both producers and end users.
Network of relations within industry would be a foundation for building a book of business.
