Imperium Commodity Search is exclusively retained by a growing boutique energy brokerage in the US, seeking a Middle Distillates Broker with a strong background in the Physical and Derivative markets.
The firm operates from its head office in the Houston area and its affiliated company in Europe, with the option for Brokers to be located remotely across the US. Combining a wealth of experience across its existing business covering the gasoline, NGLs, naphtha and biofuels markets with a highly driven entrepreneurial team, they continue to expand business within the renewable energy credits, carbon credit allowances, RINs, low carbon fuel standard credits and related products.
The Role:
This role would suit someone looking to take their career to the next level. As a Middle Distillates broker you will be responsible for voice and electronic trade execution services across the Middle Distillates space, specifically: diesel, ULSD, kerosene, jet fuel, gasoil, RBB’s, HOGO’s.
As part of this role you will be expected to establish strong relations with refiners, majors, banks, funds, traders and corporates to promote the company’s services – market data, execution, trade ideas on the derivatives markets.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
You will work closely with senior management on the development and strategic set‑up of the Middle Distillates desk across physical and financial markets.
You will offer OTC and listed product services while developing a global portfolio of clients within the Middle Distillates sector – ensuring all compliance aspects and client onboarding procedures are adhered to.
Requirements:
Experience broking Middle Distillates (diesel, ULSD, kerosene, jet fuel, gasoil, RBB’s, HOGO’s)
Exceptional understanding of OTC and listed energy products, experience in voice and electronic execution of Middle Distillate trades.
Strong understanding of the trends and geographies of the Middle Distillate products, with the ability to offer customers well‑rounded solutions to both producers and end users.
Network of relations within industry that would be a foundation for building a book of business.
