Position Title: Operations Continuous Improvement Senior Manager
Location: Ashburn, VA (Hybrid)
Your role
The Global Continuous Improvement and Systems Enablement Lead will support the Global Director, Continuous Improvement & System Enablement function by partnering with global data center operations teams to identify system needs, gather requirements, support application usage, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as a key liaison between operational stakeholders and the Director responsible for global systems and innovations.
The ideal candidate will have strong operational process knowledge, the ability to learn multiple applications quickly, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to evaluate, prioritize, and translate business needs into actionable system updates and roadmap recommendations. This position offers growth opportunities into more advanced leadership roles within Global Operations Solutions and Innovation.
What you’ll do
Engage with global operations teams to understand business processes, system needs, and workflow challenges.
Collect, document, and clarify enhancement requests or issues from users and business leaders.
Prioritize user requests based on impact, urgency, and alignment with the global operational strategy.
Support multiple applications used across global data center operations (e.g., CMMS, workflow tools, reporting platforms), including basic configuration, testing changes, and validating enhancements.
Serve as a liaison between the operations teams and the Senior Manager for Systems Solutions & Innovations, providing summarized updates and actionable insights.
Participate in process mapping, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with creating system documentation, release notes, training materials, and communication for global stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups (operations, engineering, IT, support teams) to ensure smooth system rollouts and alignment of changes.
Track progress of system improvements and maintain visibility of roadmap commitments and timelines.
Identify opportunities to optimize systems and workflows to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
What you’ll need
3+ Years experience and a strong understanding of data center operations or similar mission-critical operational environments.
Ability to learn and effectively use multiple software applications.
Skilled in documenting data flows, data models, and system/process interactions using both technical writing and non-technical write ups.
Experience with relational data structures, CMDB, or operational modules (preferred).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Solid analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience gathering requirements and documenting processes.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, global environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams, cultures, and time zones.
Experience with CMMS platforms, workflow management tools, or operations-focused systems.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Exposure to system configuration, UAT testing, or release management.
Project coordination or light project management experience.
Data analysis and reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards, KPI tracking).
Experience supporting global or multi-site operational teams.
Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose technology-driven solutions.
Transferable managerial skills, team load balancing.
