Your Role
The Senior Manager, Global Engineering Programs – P&E designs, operates, and scales Digital Realty’s Associate Engineering Rotation Program and broader engineering development initiatives. This role serves as the central leader responsible for program structure, curriculum, mentorship, and the overall development experience for early‑career engineering talent. Partnering closely with engineering, product, sales engineering, HR, and regional technical teams, this role builds a best‑in‑class, globally scalable engineering development program that strengthens Digital Realty’s long‑term technical talent pipeline while acting as the primary ambassador and advocate for program participants.
What you’ll do
Design, implement, and continuously improve the Associate Engineering Rotation Program, including structure, milestones, learning objectives, and progression frameworks
Develop standardized rotation paths across engineering functions such as Solutions Engineering, Design Engineering, and technical solution development
Build and manage a comprehensive engineering training curriculum, including technical modules, workshops, and hands‑on learning experiences
Establish and operate mentorship frameworks connecting Associates with experienced engineers and technical leaders
Track participant progress through structured development plans, performance metrics, and regular feedback cycles
Plan and execute program operations and events, including onboarding cohorts, training sessions, workshops, and rotation milestones
Manage program governance, documentation, operational processes, and long‑term development roadmaps
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Sales, HR, Operations, Recruiting) to align program outcomes with organizational needs
Develop scalable frameworks to expand engineering development programs across regions and technical disciplines
Serve as the primary advocate and representative for the Associate Engineering Program across the organization
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
7+ years of experience in engineering program management, engineering operations, or technical program development
Experience managing complex, cross‑functional technical programs and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to design training programs, development frameworks, or structured learning initiatives
Strong operational, organizational, and program execution skills
Ability to collaborate with and influence both technical and business leaders
Experience working in engineering‑driven environments such as infrastructure, data centers, telecommunications, or mission‑critical operations
Familiarity with engineering design processes, technical documentation workflows, or solution development environments
Experience supporting or scaling programs across regions or global organizations
Passion for mentoring and developing early‑career technical talent in fast‑paced environments
