Our client, a rapidly scaling technology company, is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance Operations to build and mature the financial infrastructure supporting core operational functions.
Job Location
Sunnyvale, CA. This position is primarily onsite with some flexibility.
Job Description
This role will partner closely with operations leadership to deliver decision‑ready insights, scalable financial models, and repeatable planning mechanisms as the business grows. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, execution‑oriented, and comfortable operating in fast‑paced environments where systems and processes are still evolving.
Responsibilities
Serve as the finance partner to operations leaders, supporting high‑impact, data‑driven decision‑making
Build and maintain financial models related to operational costs, capacity planning, and unit economics
Develop KPI frameworks, dashboards, and reporting cadence to support operational visibility
Own forecasting and variance analysis across operational expense areas
Translate complex operational data into clear financial insights and recommendations
Design scalable planning processes, definitions, and reporting mechanisms
Identify and implement automation and process improvements to reduce manual work
Support the development of finance operating rhythms suitable for a more mature organization
Requirements
7+ years of experience in finance, strategic finance, or FP&A roles
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Proven experience partnering directly with operational or technical teams
Ability to build scalable processes in ambiguous, fast‑growing environments
Clear, concise communication skills with senior stakeholders
Compensation

Licensure and certifications;
Office location and other geographic considerations;
