Job Overview
Our Site Leader is responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives at the fulfillment center. They manage and lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach and mentor, build employee relations and develop leadership bench strength.
Responsibilities
Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the FC to meet and exceed business plan.
Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable.
Leverage Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, rolling them into improvement plans.
Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and the network.
Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.
Additional Job Elements
Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
Work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air‑conditioned.
Able to access all areas of building (ascending/descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely).
Basic Qualifications
Experience in a Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics or related environment/operations.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, commerce, business administration or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience leading large contingent workforce programs.
Experience working in fast paced environments, managing workload even during stress or escalated activity.
Experience hiring candidates, mentoring and developing employees in their careers.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: USD 135,000.00 - 182,700.00 annually. Package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D, EAP, mental health support, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
