As the largest homeless shelter in Tarrant County, we serve approximately 1,000 men, women, and children each night through shelter, housing, and employment pathways. Job Summary

The Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) is a senior executive leader responsible for advancing Presbyterian Night Shelter’s philanthropic strategy and growing sustainable revenue in support of the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CPO serves as a trusted partner to the CEO and Board of Directors and acts as a visible ambassador for the organization in the community.
The CPO leads a comprehensive fundraising and engagement program, overseeing individual giving, major and planned gifts, foundation and corporate support, special events, and capital initiatives. In addition, this role provides strategic oversight of marketing, communications, brand management, public relations, and volunteer engagement to ensure alignment, consistency, and impact across all external-facing efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute integrated philanthropy, marketing, and engagement strategies that drive year-over-year revenue growth.
Establish fundraising goals, oversee the development budget, and ensure accountability for results across all giving channels.
Build and manage a robust pipeline of annual, major, capital, and planned gift prospects through effective cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, supervision, and professional development.
Work collaboratively with executive leadership to align fundraising and engagement efforts with organizational priorities.
Serve as primary staff liaison to the Board Resource Development Committee and support board and foundation fundraising efforts.
Leverage data and analytics to evaluate performance and continuously refine fundraising and engagement strategies.
Represent Presbyterian Night Shelter externally and position the organization as a compelling opportunity for philanthropic investment.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in fundraising or a related field.
Demonstrated success leading comprehensive development programs and managing high-level donor relationships.
Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and inspire teams.
Experience working closely with boards and senior leadership.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.
Commitment to ethical fundraising and a passion for serving vulnerable populations.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
