Asset Owners and Insurance Lending - Global Credit Finance, Vice President

Who we are looking for
The Global Credit Finance (GCF) division at State Street provides a range of financial solutions to support clients across the bank. We are a global division with approximately 150 employees in various locations worldwide. The Asset Owner and Insurance Lending team in GCF provides liquidity and credit products to support a diverse group of State Street clients across the asset owner and insurance customer segments, including municipalities, non-profits, corporates, and insurance companies. We are seeking a Vice President to serve as the lending officer responsible for client relationship management. The role focuses on originating, structuring, and executing new transactions, managing client relationships, and coordinating internal resources to deliver high-quality lending solutions. While primary responsibility for credit risk oversight resides with a dedicated credit officer, this role is expected to work closely with the credit officer throughout credit underwriting and approval processes.

What you will be responsible for

Serve as a relationship-focused lender for assigned clients, maintaining fulsome relationships and engaging with clients to deliver appropriate credit solutions.

Source, develop, and maintain pipeline of new credit opportunities that align with portfolio and client strategy.

Originate, structure, and negotiate a range of liquidity and credit facilities, including liquidity facilities, letters of credit, revolving lines of credit, and term loans, in bilateral and syndicated transactions.

Partner closely with internal sales and relationship management teams to support broader client strategy, including acquisition, retention, and expansion of client relationships.

Coordinate with credit officer to obtain credit approval for portfolio transactions and conduct ongoing surveillance, including annual reviews and internal risk ratings.

Ensure adherence to credit policies and underwriting standards across all assigned relationships.

Proven ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements applicable to commercial lending.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or similar advanced credential preferred.

5‑7 years of progressive commercial lending experience, with exposure to corporate, insurance, municipal, and/or not-for-profit clients.

Formal credit training program experience preferred.

Salary Range
$120,000 - $202,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
