POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Lead owns the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and business value for one or more digital products, turning business priorities into clear product outcomes and backlogs. They maintain and prioritize a healthy backlog, balancing new demand, technical debt, risk, and mandatory work while ensuring items are well defined, refined, and ready for delivery. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, Digital teams, and vendors to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, handle Tier-2 issues, and plan platform or vendor releases. The Product Lead communicates clear status, risks, and trade‑offs, using product health metrics, adoption data, and feedback to guide roadmap and release decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Defines and maintains the product roadmap for one or more assigned products.
Owns the product lifecycle from intake through adoption and sustainment.
Translates business strategies, domain priorities, and stakeholder needs into clear product outcomes.
Maintains and prioritizes a healthy product backlog that reflects the most valuable work, balancing new demand, technical debt, risk, and mandatory work.
Facilitates regular backlog refinement, ensuring items are well understood, sized, and ready for delivery teams.
Defines and refines acceptance criteria with stakeholders and delivery teams; validates that delivered work meets defined outcomes.
Ensures maintenance and enhancement work is captured, tracked, and accurately updated in agreed work management tools.
Partners closely with Product Analysts on discovery, requirements elaboration, testing, and change management for enhancements and new capabilities.
Collaborates with other Digital teams to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, resource plan, and remove delivery blockers.
Monitors product health using adoption, utilization, incident, and support trends and stakeholder feedback to drive backlog and roadmap decisions.
Supports Tier‑2 incident and problem management for assigned products by helping analyze root causes, identifying product gaps, and translating recurring issues into backlog work.
Plans for and coordinates the impact of vendor or platform releases, including impact assessment, testing, communication, and readiness activities.
Manages day‑to‑day operational relationships with vendors.
Prepares and shares clear status updates on product roadmap delivery, risks, and decisions with the Group Product Manager, Digital Business Partners, and key stakeholders.
Contributes to change management activities for product releases, including stakeholder communications, training coordination, and readiness support.
Responsible for ensuring product data, configuration, and documentation remain accurate and current, supporting sustainable operations and support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience (industry experience in construction/engineering is a plus, not required).
5+ years in digital product management, with direct ownership of product strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and business value for one or more products.
Proven ability to translate business strategies, domain priorities, and stakeholder needs into clear product outcomes and roadmaps.
Demonstrated experience maintaining and prioritizing a healthy product backlog, balancing new demand, technical debt, risk, and mandatory work, with strong backlog refinement and acceptance‑criteria discipline.
Strong track record using product health metrics, adoption/utilization data, incident trends, and stakeholder feedback to drive roadmap and release decisions.
Hands‑on experience with Tier‑2 incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and converting recurring issues into backlog work.
Skilled at cross‑functional collaboration with Digital teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, plan capacity, and remove delivery blockers.
Experience planning and coordinating vendor/platform releases, including impact assessment, testing strategy, and stakeholder readiness activities.
Demonstrated ownership of product documentation and configuration accuracy, ensuring product data, configuration, and documentation remain current and support sustainable operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting clear status, risks, and trade‑offs to Group Product Managers, business partners, and other stakeholders.
