Senior HR Business Partner

Responsibilities

Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers to understand their business objectives and develop and shape HR strategies to support them.

Provide guidance and advice to senior leaders and managers on HR policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.

In coordination with leaders, support organizational changes from design to implementation, anticipating future organization needs and advising and facilitating decision making.

Develop, implement and facilitate HR programs and initiatives to support employee engagement, retention, and development.

Deploy the different annual HR cycles such as performance reviews, promotion, salary review, goal setting, etc.

Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop action plans to address them.

Partner with the talent acquisition team to identify and recruit top talent to meet the organization's business needs.

Facilitate the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.

Coach on effective leadership and management practices, challenging and influencing decision making as needed.

Manage employee relations issues and provide guidance and advice on conflict resolution and employee discipline.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or Bachelor’s degree with significant HR experience

8+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner; large organization experience preferred

Experience in the Biotech industry is a plus

Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, particularly in Washington state

Experience creating HR policies and procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders

Strong analytical skills, and ability to use HR metrics and data to drive decision-making

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong coaching and mentoring skills

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $134,000 to $154,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
